Last month we discussed our new DicksonOne platform. If you missed it, check out our blog at info.dicksondata.com. This month I wanted to speak to you about our Replaceable Sensors, or RS for short. The RS is a great development aimed at making the calibration process more friendly.

When our Sales Consultants talk to customers about why they don’t calibrate their devices the responses are typically one of the following:

  • I’m without my logger for too long
  • Someone will come to me and do it
  • The whole process is too expensive

The RS speaks to these issues directly. First, a device with an RS means you don’t have to send in your device. Secondly, there’s no need to have someone come to your facility. Just order a newly calibrated RS and once it arrives simply remove the old one and replace it with the new one. Lastly, save time and money by not having to ship the device back to the manufacturer.

Factory calibrations are extremely important. It is the only way to guarantee your device is within the manufacturer’s specifications and receive the proper documentation for it. Calibration houses can simply tell you how far off your device is reading, but they can’t calibrate a Dickson instrument so that it reads and records correctly over the entire range of the device.

Currently, the RS is available on the Touchscreens (pg. 5), WiZARD2 (pg. 7), and DicksonOne (pgs. 8-9).
